Winnie the Pooh Banner

My friend's little one had his birthday and his favorite is Winnie the Pooh! I wanted to help out and make a banner for the event! I'm obsessed with the bee embossing folder, it's so cute, I ordered it just for this project. I'm also obsessed with my circuit explore (that's how I made this banner). I have been a circuit fan for a long time and then the explore came out and I am an even bigger fan! I will be sharing projects in the future as well, so if you have an explore keep a look out!

I haven't had much time to be in my craft room, I've been staying downstairs with puppy as he recovers from surgery. After some bumps in the road we are on our way to being back 100%. Yesterday was national dog day, I included a picture of my furry babies!

Turning Two Banner

Hello Crafty World! I am sure all of you are just as busy as we are getting ready for the holidays, craft fairs and life in general. I have been creating like crazy just not too much time to post. Plus I have lots of fun things planned for my blog.

The other day I found a big file of photos of my previous creations, I was so relieved. I had been looking for the pictures for a long time. This is was one of my favorite to make. So whimsical and girly at the same time. After the birthday I took out "is 2" so it could be hung in Norah's room! The flowers are from this Sizzix die, they are very easy to use and lots of fun. Since the die is a bigz die you can cut it out of fabric or felt and have the die go even further!

Baby Guest Book

I got a last minute request to make a small baby guest book for a baby shower. I can't say no to help making a shower more special and having a place to treasure some of the memories from that day. Thankfully I have a big collection of paper, dies and embellishment to make the project.

I didn't want to stick to a square or basic shape album, so I changed it up and decided to go with a baby onesie shape. Seriously how cute is this?! I picked lighter shades of blue and added a grey tone in their too. I wanted the pages to have enough space for the guest to write a special message, so I added the different icons/characters at the bottom of the page. The entire book is make with just cardstock :)

The die is from Sizzix (Baby Onesie) but unfortunately I don't see it on the sizzix site or anywhere else online :( Here is the item on Amazon. If you have a cricut they do sell cartridges with onesie images or in the Design Studio there is lots of onesie's available with the subscription. Non subscription user their is even a free onesie (#M4361B).

Sailor Moon Card

Any chance I get to create a special request card, especially a Sailor Moon card, I am all over it! If your not familiar with Sailor Moon its a Japanese anime show/comic etc etc. I have always been a big fan! I created this card a little while back, but had no idea where the pictures went, well today I found them, a very exciting moment. Sorry about the coloring, the blue background on the card is a lot lighter but the picture came out so dark, couldn't do a redo since the card has been sent off to special fan :)

Close up, much better color of the blue background.

Halloween Decor and Card

Guess what holiday is approaching?! If you guessed Halloween, your right! I popped into my local scrapbook store (The Creative Nook) and some new Halloween goodies arrived. I couldn't help myself and had to get some for my design team projects this month. The store has a great collection of accucut die cuts, so I completed my creations in house. I love that they have a table and you can come and play!

I didn't want the wall/door decor to be too heavy. So I die cut it with the Accucut machine with Foam Board. Ohh yes you read that correctly, I said Foam Board! The machine cut right threw it, I was amazed, I had never tried it before and it worked perfectly.  The purple piece is cut with chipboard and I put little googly eyes in it ;) I wanted to highlight all the cool dies the store has to offer and the possibilities are endless there! Don't forget to check out the card I made too, with the scraps! I made another card but for some reason all the pictures came out fuzzy, so I will have to retake them and update this post. :D

Birthday Cars Card

I have been busy as a bee. New schedule, puppy and life in general. I think I got a good schedule to help me stay organized and use my time wisely. It has been a bit since I have posted but I still have been creating like crazy. Lots of fun things to share with the world. :)

Here are two cards I made with a boy/guy related theme. If you're like me this is the hardest theme to make for cards. Girl cards are easy butterfly or flowers or a cute animal. Boys on the other hand not so much. I love this car stamp from Inque Boutique, I had some trouble figuring out out to incorporate it on the card, so I decided to make it a background. I used Versamark ink and stamped it all over the cardstock! I did the same thing with the Happy stamp. I only have one circle punch (Shocker I know!) so I used that to create a peek a boo for the happy. I adore these puffies from Ki Memories they added just what I need to complete the card.

I am trying something new when I go to create a card. I am making a second one at the same time. That way if I am ever in a crunch, I have a little stack to go and snag a card. ;)

CHD Warrior Banner

Hello World! I have been absent for a while. I took some time to focus on me and getting better from Lyme (boo ticks). A lot has been going on and it's been great! We got a new puppy and she is keeping the family busy.

I having an amazing friend who has the best family ever, but Baby Jake is a CHD Warrior! He has had multiple heart surgeries but is finally home and doing well! You can support Baby Jake and watch him grow on his facebook page: Prayers for Baby Jake. Jake even had the support of the entire community and was featured in the local newspaper! I had the opportunity to make a banner for some photos Baby Jake was having with the talented Katie P. Photography.

Mist Splatter Cards & Good Bye TwoPeas

I can't believe its Thursday already! I am on vaca from work, I have to get a plan going so I can utilize the most of my time :) Which really means plan lots of crafty time hehe :)

If you haven't heard the news yet, Two Peas in a Bucket is closing there doors. I am still in complete shock! I have been on two peas since 2005 and have had a wonderful time there! I meet so many amazing and inspiring ladies, I am going to miss it so much! Thanks Two Pea's for all the great memories and I wish everyone all the best! Goodbye Two Pea's and Hello to new adventure and finding a go to place!

Masculine cards have always been a struggle for me, am I the only one? I am a family of all girls, my grandparents had all girls and they had all girls lol The only boys are my grandpa and adopted awesome cousin! Ohh so often I have lots of girl things to make! To me that's easy with flowers, cutie animals and bright colors!

So off to my craft room I went in search of making a masculine card for father's day! If your like me you have tons of mist, but I felt that it looked to light and flurry when sprayed.

I came up with a fun idea. Instead of spraying the mist I took off the top and splattered it on the card! This can be a messy project so make sure your craft area is protected and you don't mind getting your hands dirty or stained. I may do a video so you can see it in action!

Turbo Birthday Banner

Last week we had the hard choice to let our kitty go over the rainbow bridge. I took some time to reflect and remember all the wonderful times we had together. Our puppy took it the hardest and still misses his best friend. Me and puppy have been spending extra time together and he is even more of a cuddle bug. I think is doing much better and having play dates with his friend has helped.

So I am back to blogging and here is one of my creations! A request for a turbo banner came in and I couldn't pass up the chance to try it out! I love the metal plate looking embossing folder, it added the perfect amount of texture too!

I've been working behind the scenes too, so lots of fun things to come too! Have a great Tuesday!

Teachers Paint the World

Happy Thursday!!!

Can you believe the week is flying by! The weather here has been mostly muggy.

Today is also the last day of school for all the munchkins here! I got asked to create a little tag for some nail polishes with a saying! I think its such a cute idea and love how they turned out. A great gift for that special teacher in your kids lives. I tested them out on my own nail polishes before I delivered them and I realized I need to work on my bow skills lol

Since I have  been creating alot of printable items, I wanted to get some feedback and see if things are things you all would like to see on the blog and be able to download? Let me know, I am more than happy to share :)

Tricycle Themed Birthday Party

Happy Monday! The weekend went by too fast but it was great. We had a puppy play date at our house and there were over 10 dogs here, I even made homemade dog treats! I even had time to play in my craft room! I wanted to share an order I made for a tricycle themed birthday party!

I had lots of fun making the banner and party decor. I got to see the party all set up and pictures from the event, which is always my favorite! This is such a cute idea for any age, the guest got to bring there bikes and decorate and then have a parade! It couldn't be anymore adorable!

BoBunny Layout and Card

Its Wonderful Wednesday and summer is in full swing here; playing outside in the sprinklers, tank tops and afternoon showers.

I absolutely adore the local scrapbook store, The Creative Nook, and being on the design team is so much fun! Everyone is great, I get to see the new goodies come in and I always enjoy when I go visit. Here is a recent layout and card I made to be displayed in the store. Its been a while since I have created a layout and I love it! I need to spend some time just printing pictures so I can scrap more :)

Every time I create something and there is extra's I put them in a drawer which I call a "treasure box". I have had the sizzix flip card die for some time and wanted to try it out!  So with die in hand and the goodies from my treasure box I created the card below!

Dog Banner

Happy Tuesday! We had a really nice long weekend. Our main focus was our big to do list and relax! Of course there was lots of BBQ's and yummy food! I hope you all had a nice weekend and were able to take a moment to remember all those who have fallen and those that serve our country.

This project was created for a photographer friend of mine, who had his studio all set up at the local animal rescue fair. I was more than happy to help and make a banner for the background. Anything for the animals! When you have a moment hop on over to his facebook page and/or website. Make sure you tell them K (heart) Studio sent you :)
