Hot Air Balloon & Cloud Mobile

Hello World! It has been a whirl wind here, both good and bad. I was sick for about 3 weeks, no fun for sure, but glad to be better and back! Lots of great things are coming to my blog and I am so excited to share them with you!

For right now I wanted to share an out of the box project, it's a chipboard mobile! That's right its made entirely of chipboard. I had so much fun creating this, its definitely a technique I will do again. I had made a video but for some unfortunate reason it got deleted (insert sad face here). I am hoping to get my hands on the supplies, so I can do a quick video on this.

I used my local scrapbook store (The Creative Nook) AccuCut Machine to die cut out of chipboard these hot air balloons and clouds. (The "X" shape that holds the mobile together is also die cut from the AccuCut Machine).  I used a combination of misting water and Tim Holtz Distress Stain to create the washed out, colored look on the chipboard pieces.

CHD Warrior Banner

Hello World! I have been absent for a while. I took some time to focus on me and getting better from Lyme (boo ticks). A lot has been going on and it's been great! We got a new puppy and she is keeping the family busy.

I having an amazing friend who has the best family ever, but Baby Jake is a CHD Warrior! He has had multiple heart surgeries but is finally home and doing well! You can support Baby Jake and watch him grow on his facebook page: Prayers for Baby Jake. Jake even had the support of the entire community and was featured in the local newspaper! I had the opportunity to make a banner for some photos Baby Jake was having with the talented Katie P. Photography.

Mist Splatter Cards & Good Bye TwoPeas

I can't believe its Thursday already! I am on vaca from work, I have to get a plan going so I can utilize the most of my time :) Which really means plan lots of crafty time hehe :)

If you haven't heard the news yet, Two Peas in a Bucket is closing there doors. I am still in complete shock! I have been on two peas since 2005 and have had a wonderful time there! I meet so many amazing and inspiring ladies, I am going to miss it so much! Thanks Two Pea's for all the great memories and I wish everyone all the best! Goodbye Two Pea's and Hello to new adventure and finding a go to place!

Masculine cards have always been a struggle for me, am I the only one? I am a family of all girls, my grandparents had all girls and they had all girls lol The only boys are my grandpa and adopted awesome cousin! Ohh so often I have lots of girl things to make! To me that's easy with flowers, cutie animals and bright colors!

So off to my craft room I went in search of making a masculine card for father's day! If your like me you have tons of mist, but I felt that it looked to light and flurry when sprayed.

I came up with a fun idea. Instead of spraying the mist I took off the top and splattered it on the card! This can be a messy project so make sure your craft area is protected and you don't mind getting your hands dirty or stained. I may do a video so you can see it in action!

Teacher Appreciation Crafts

It has been busy but good here. Hunter has lots going on with his Search and Rescue training and is almost ready to go to the next level! I need to get down to getting a schedule for my days so I don't dilly dally and play on facebook lol.

Teacher appreciation week recently passed and I got asked to make some goodies for my friends favorite teachers! Hello Everyone! Well Its been interesting here, I got bitten by a tick and now I am a "Lymie". So I am on my medication and taking it easy. Hanging Basket + Tutorial

Hello, first I want to say thanks for all the love on my blog and facebook page. I love hearing from all of you!  I don't think I had a chance to share on here but I am officially a part of the Cecil Mills Creative Nook. Its an amazing local scrapbook store and I am so excited to be a part of the team! Here is my first design team project :) There is also a video tutorial, a first for me, please let me know how you like it. This project can be for spring or mothers day and can be changed to work for any occasion you are celebrating.

Banner - Photo Prop

Ok I promise I do more than banners, hehe. But they have been a popular item and so much fun to make! I made this one for a favorite photographer of mine, Karis at EmilyJune Photography. Her stuff is amazing and so inspiring, I love her unique style.

Today we had a big snow storm, hubby had off and the whole base was pretty much closed. The heat stopped working but we got it fixed, pweh! The day flew by but once it stopped snowing we took Hunter out to run and play in the snow. :)

Happy BEEday!

Happy Monday! So excited to be starting a new week! I plan on being in my craft room all day today (hopefully)! I had so much fun making this card! I have lots of dies and I want to get into using them, so I challenged myself to only use my quickutz dies for this card! I really like how it came out! Happy Holidays!

Well yest the holidays have come and gone, but I still wanted to share the cards I made. It took me a little while to figure out what I wanted to do but I am really happy how they turned out. I had to make 50 cards, thankfully I had a helper to die cut the snowflakes. I am not sure if you can tell but the blue cardstock under the embossed sheet is a shimmer cardstock! On Wednesday I had some free time to get into my scrappy room and have a mini virtual crop with some of the gals over at two peas in a bucket, seriously love that place! I really need to work on printing some photos today so I can do more layouts, after the move I still have no idea where the preprinted photos went (booo!). So I worked on some cards and here they are :) I came across this very cool card challenge blog called CAS-ual Fridays. Last week's post inspired me to create the trio birthday cards!
