Puppy Dog Layout

Happy Tuesday and Happy July 1st! Can you believe its July already? I can't, time seems to be flying by!

I am up today with a Design Team Layout for The Creative Nook. One of the other girls made some really cute pre-made pages and I was dying to get to play with the Bo Bunny pet collection. I wanted to showcase some of the cool dies the store has and show people how even with scraps you can make a layout!

The store has an grand collection of Accucut Dies. The title "Hunter" and the heart was cut with chipboard and then I cut the same things again with the matching paper! I glued the paper on top of the scraps and tada! Your very own custom shapes and letters. The store even has a die cut club, its $5 a month and you have unlimited access to the machine, they even have chipboard for you to use.

These photos are from when we first got Hunter and his first day in the neighborhood. He is still my little baby just much bigger hehe. These are some of my favorite pictures! The rest will go in a Project Life page, since there are so many :) I bought some paper for myself to create the PL cards, I can't wait to play!

BoBunny Layout and Card

Its Wonderful Wednesday and summer is in full swing here; playing outside in the sprinklers, tank tops and afternoon showers.

I absolutely adore the local scrapbook store, The Creative Nook, and being on the design team is so much fun! Everyone is great, I get to see the new goodies come in and I always enjoy when I go visit. Here is a recent layout and card I made to be displayed in the store. Its been a while since I have created a layout and I love it! I need to spend some time just printing pictures so I can scrap more :)

Every time I create something and there is extra's I put them in a drawer which I call a "treasure box". I have had the sizzix flip card die for some time and wanted to try it out!  So with die in hand and the goodies from my treasure box I created the card below!

PP: BoBunny (Pop Quiz). Chipboard Element: Accucut (Heart). Pen & Chipboard ABC: American Crafts.

Goodies and Cool Blogs

I must be one lucky lady because I have won some cool prizes lately! I wanted to share the prizes and the amazing ladies blogs as well! I can't wait to get crafting and utilize all the goodies!

A cool kit!

This kit I got from the lovely Leslie Webster! Her stuff rocks, when you get a chance head over to her blog and check it out! Dictionary's Creative Space. I can't wait to play with this kit and I am so excited for the color ink, as I don't have any, so its a great way to get my collection started! Thanks Leslie for the kit!

One rockin book!
I had taken some time off to get myself better and along the way, I won this book from the wonderful Lisa Swift. She was nice enough to email me to let me know I won too, how cool is that?! She has an amazing blog too, Remember the Good Time. I just got the book yesterday and only got to peek at it, but so far its awesome! I can't wait to try some of the projects out. Thanks again Lisa!

Cecil Mill Design Team

I wanted to share the news that I am a part of my local scrapbook store (LSS) design team! I am so excited to be a part of the team, The Creative Nook is such a cool store! If your ever in southern Maryland I highly recommend you check it out. My last post was one of my first design team projects and I have more to share soon.

The store is actually with in the Cecil's Old Mill. Which was originally a factory and later a mill for grist and saw. It was transformed and now a national landmark in St. Mary's County and houses other crafts as well. Here are some snap shots of the store, seriously so cool!

Thanks again everyone for your wonderful comments and I'll be back with some more projects! Have a happy day :)

My Little Pony Banner

Happy Tuesday!!! I had such an exciting weekend, I can't wait till tomorrow though. I am hosting an open crafty day at my house, this is where my friends can come bring whatever project they are working on and we can all craft together! So excited and this week I am getting a new craft table! So I am going to have to redo the entire room, hopefully it will all work out!

Here is a recent banner I made for a friend, for her daughter! She is a huge My Little Pony fan and I wanted to capture that in the banner for her room, with the colors and the icons :) In the last picture you can see the banner in her room with all her ponies! This was so much fun to make, especially since I am a pony fan too!

Thanks for checking out my blog! Happy Art Making! :)

Happy Holidays!

Well yest the holidays have come and gone, but I still wanted to share the cards I made. It took me a little while to figure out what I wanted to do but I am really happy how they turned out. I had to make 50 cards, thankfully I had a helper to die cut the snowflakes. I am not sure if you can tell but the blue cardstock under the embossed sheet is a shimmer cardstock! Thanks for checking out my card and I hope the weather is warming up where you are! Happy Art Making!!!

USMC Cards

It's been busy here, our new little furbaby gets most of my time and love! He is growing up so fast! I have always had a passion for paper crafts and I love making gifts and sharing my passion. I have recently had alot of people asking me to make them cards, banners and tags. So I have decided to make a small business out of my love for crafts! I am so excited to get things started and everyone has been so supportive and thrilled with my new goal! Here is my first custom order, two marine cards for a marine retiring and his wife. I had lots of fun getting back into the art room and making the cards.

Cards

On Wednesday I had some free time to get into my scrappy room and have a mini virtual crop with some of the gals over at two peas in a bucket, seriously love that place! I really need to work on printing some photos today so I can do more layouts, after the move I still have no idea where the preprinted photos went (booo!). So I worked on some cards and here they are :) I came across this very cool card challenge blog called CAS-ual Fridays. Last week's post inspired me to create the trio birthday cards!
close ups, I made these with the scraps from the previous baby book I made.

Little Bebe

This was such a fun project for me to work on, usually I am  making little girl gifts and it was good to switch is up :). I really enjoy sharing my passion and letting others have a special place to hold their memories. This was an 8 x 8 album, which is a great size for gifts and can hold multiple photos! A tip I have for making mini albums as gifts, is to keep an open mind about picture size. I go with the standard 4 x 6 when making photo mattes and like to have "open" pages (pages without mattes) so photos can be added however the person likes. Do you have any tips for making mini album gifts?!

More Scrapbook Room

I got the chance to finish hanging up some paintings/collectibles for the scrapbook room. I posted a peek on my Facebook page and you all wanted too see more! It took me a little bit to decide where everything was going to go. I didn't have much space and have lots of stuff :) How have you personalized your creative space?!

Princess painting was a gift. The kitty paintings are from Cafe Tu Tu Tango. If your ever in Orlando I would highly recommend going there and get yourself an original piece of art!

Bird print, I love these and found this at goodwill. Tim Holtz handmade mirror made by me and autographed :D

Sailor moon keychains, its my favorite anime and I got these while in high school and put them in the frame. The funny bunny sign, there is no bad gugu allowed in the room. I made the clock myself and see more photos of it HERE. The little purple ceramic owl is a new addition too!

I can't wait too see my furry family and friends, plus hang out with my mummy! She is my BFF and I made her this recent project for her from my wedding :) This is project 4/50. Bottles

A few more days and its August I can't believe it, for me that means weddings galore! A friend is having her baby soon and we got her a little gift basket, so I was in charge of making the card. I've been in a little funk lately and not being able to find my mojo. But I guess a little pressure pushed me back into creativity lane! So tada here is the card :-) This is project 3/50 for me. I'm gonna admit I was bad and bought some scrappy supplies. Have you seen some of the new things from CM, I couldn't help myself :) Hope your starting off the week with a bang. Happy Art Making.

Kiss Can

It has been super hectic here but fun! August is quickly approaching and for me, that means school (hopefully) and weddings! This was another gift I made for hubby while he was on deployment. This is a plain paint can I purchased and decorated it! I filled it with kisses, the candy kind of course :) After we moved I was so happy to find it in the boxes while unpacking and glad it made it safely back to the USA with hubby. Thanks for checking out my work! Happy Art Making!!!!
